March 16th, 2022Special Guests ~ Rock ‘N Roll Express… Schiavone segues to the present day by mentioning the upcoming Jim Crockett Sr. Memorial Tag Team Tournament in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday, April 16th. Schiavone lists some of the previous tournament’s participants who will be appearing as part of the Meet & Greet, including the Rock ‘N Roll Express obviously, and asks Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton how they feel about being included. Gibson says they are thrilled to be involved and can’t wait to spend some time with all the other former Crockett Cup teams, but they would have been even happier to be included in the tournament. Schiavone interjects that he was recently made aware and can officially announce that the tournament will include sixteen teams and perhaps the Rock ‘N Roll Express could receive an opportunity with the expanded field. Morton immediately added that they should definitely be in the Crockett Cup then because there isn’t a doubt in his mind that the NWA couldn’t find 16 teams in the World better than the Rock ‘N Roll Express…

That could be cool to see how The Rock N Roll Express do at this stage with some top tag teams in the mix. Crockett Cup is always a good read when it comes to this stuff. Also, a good use of Tony Schiavone and the podcast format. I like the name of it!

March 23rd, 2022Special Guests ~ The Mechanics… Schiavone breaks the news that the Jim Crockett Sr. Memorial Tag Team Tournament will now be a two-day event, taking place on Friday, April 15th and Saturday, April 16th in Charlotte. Schiavone then asks Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood how they feel about defending their NWA North Carolina titles against the eventual winners. Harwood speaks up and says that is exactly what should happen, especially since their open invitation to defend the belts against anyone willing to travel to Charlotte is what spurred the idea behind bringing back the Crockett Cup. Wheeler adds that the Mechanics will be one of the teams in the Crockett Cup, which seems to be a surprise to Tony, and if they successfully defend the titles against the winner of the Bucks and Briscoes in a couple weeks then they will enter the Crockett Cup as Champions. Harwood then points out that they listened to last week’s podcast with the Rock ‘N Roll Express and he thinks they should be in the Crockett Cup. In fact, they want Gibson and Morton as their first-round opponents…

March 30th, 2022Special Guests ~ Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard
… Schiavone breaks the news that the Crockett Cup will now be broadcast live on IWTV, starting at 6 PM each night and asks Anderson and Blanchard if they think they could lace the boots up one more time for another shot at the Crockett Cup. Neither man gives a direct answer, but Blanchard mentions that there are several teams across the NWA that could be seen as favorites for the tournament. Schiavone says he has a special announcement from NWA Reign along with some familiar faces to deliver the message. Schiavone cuts to a video clip with Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton announcing that they will be one of the 16 teams in the Crockett Cup. Gibson adds that they heard that the Mechanics were looking for first-round opponents and teams to challenge for the NWA North Carolina Tag Team Championships and he and Ricky are always ready to rock ‘n roll. Morton follows up by saying that they will gladly meet the Mechanics in the first round of the Crockett Cup if the Mechanics are willing to stand by what they said and put the NWA North Carolina belts on the line…

April 27th, 2022… Schiavone announces that the scheduled May 28th NWA Reign event has been vastly changed and thoroughly improved in his opinion. Schiavone explains that the event was originally scheduled to have matches for both the semifinal and finals of the NWA North Carolina Heavyweight Championship Tournament, pitting the winners of the Jack Brisco & Wahoo McDaniel Memorial blocks against the runner-ups. Schiavone now announces that those matches will happen on separate nights as it has become a two-day event, encompassing Saturday, May 28th & Sunday, May 29th. The semifinals will now take place on Saturday, the finals will occur the following night and more Championship matches are expected to be added as the event has also been named “Clash of the Champions: The Coronation”...

May 4th, 2022… Schiavone segues from talking about potential vacation destinations for his family to the announcement that NWA Reign has finally decided to take the “show on the road” and have announced “the Great American Bash Tour 2022”. Schiavone adds that the Bash will last throughout the months of June and July and will see NWA Reign visit Raleigh, Asheville, Fayetteville and last, but certainly not least, Greensboro as well as events in Charlotte. Schiavone points out how this is a logical step for NWA Reign as they will have crowned all of the NWA North Carolina Championships the weekend prior to “the Great American Bash Tour” with “Clash of Champions: the Coronation” on May 28th & 29th…
