(So a bit out of nowhere I realise, but these next few shows are pretty self explanatory with the focus now being on the tournaments. As a result, these next few shows will primarily be match based, though if I come up with any promo ideas inbetween then I'll share them for sure. Anyway, the next show should be up in a week or so.)
NWA Stable Wars Show 6: The Number One Contenders Trophy Tournament First Round Results
Our show begins, as always, with the music and fireworks that all wrestling shows must open with. After that happened, we go to our announcing team, with Magnus James joined by the Reverend Devon.
MJ: 'Wrestling fans, welcome to the sixth NWA Stable Wars show. Kevin Nash has chosen not to join me this week, due in part to the events of our last show. So, this week, I am joined instead by the Reverend Devon.'
RD: 'Oh my brother, it is good to see you.'
MJ: 'Reverend, your man Angelico is competing tonight, in the quarter finals of our tournament to crown the first holder of the Number One Contenders Trophy. But he faces a tremendous challenge in Malakai Black from Firefly Fun House. Do you think he will be victorious.'
RD: 'I have complete and utter faith in Angelico's abilities. Combine that with his unbreakable love for our lord and saviour, and I foresee no reason why he will not overcome the challenge of the sinner Malakai Black.'
MJ: 'You sound confident in your man, we will soon see how he fares. Let's head to the ring for our opening contest, where Mustafa Ali of The Redeemed will take on Captain Calzone from The Army of Truth.'
Match 1
Mustafa Ali vs Captain Calzone w/Corporal Truth, Sgt Spyder and Major Jimmy
It should be quite telling that Mustafa Ali chose not to have anyone join him at ringside, whilst Calzone required almost his entire group. As soon as the bell rang, Calzone immediately went to the outside to stall, returned to the ring and then went outside again. On both occasions he was nearly counted out, but returned at the count of 9. Finally he locks up with Ali, who immediately takes him down with an arm drag. Calzone goes outside again to confer with the rest of the group, but Ali has had enough and dives through the ropes, taking out everyone. Ali throws Calzone back in and Calzone begs Ali not to hurt him, but he's having none of it. Ali lifts up Calzone and hits the Tilt A Whirl DDT, then goes up top. He delivers the 054 and gets the academic three count.
Winner - Mustafa Ali
Ali celebrates what can only be described as a cakewalk, whilst Truth gathers the troops and orders them to regroup backstage. We return to the announce table.
MJ: 'Mustafa Ali makes it look easy there, he advances to the semi finals in style. Reverend, your thoughts?'
RD: 'Whilst myself and Mustafa Ali share differing views on who created this wonderful world of ours, we do share one thing: the love of a power higher than our own. I wish him and The Redeemed good luck, but if our paths cross then he shall know the wrath of my lord.'
MJ: 'Our next match is about to begin, as it will determine who Ali faces in the semi finals. Bestia 666 from The Lucha Legacy will take on Dan "The Man" Buchanan. Let's head to ringside.'
Match 2
Bestia 666 w/Rey Mysterio vs Dan "The Man" Buchanan w/Damien Sandow and "The Footman" Trent Beretta
Buchanan, perhaps bolstered by his dominant debut, took Bestia 666 lightly. A collar and elbow saw him overpower his smaller opponent, as he laughed and mocked him. Bestia took offence and charged, hitting a few arm drags and following that with a headscissors takedown. Buchanan tried to regroup outside with Sandow, but Bestia followed it with a tope, taking both men down. Throwing Buchanan back in, Bestia tried a springboard nothing, which Buchanan countered with a punch. He followed this with a couple of slams, then a leg drop for a near fall. Next he locked in a chin lock, which Bestia was eventually able to counter with a jawbreaker. Both men returned to their feet and Bestia maintained the momentum with a hurricanrana that got a near fall. Another took Buchanan to the canvas, as Bestia called for the La Valagueza. Sandow, realising him was in trouble, sent Beretta to the apron, and Mysterio did the same, but the referee was drawn to Mysterio first. Beretta pulled out some powder, BUT THROWS IT INTO BUCHANAN'S EYES BY ACCIDENT! Sandow berates Beretta and punches him, before entering the ring to try and stop Bestia. WALTER IS HERE! Sandow quickly rushes out when he realises he's on his way. Bestia charges, but Walter stands his ground and Bestia just bounces off him. Walter picks him up and drops him with the Golden Bomb, leaves the ring and turns his attention to Mysterio, knocking him off the apron and leaving the ring. The blinded Buchanan crawls to make the cover, the referee counts 3 and Buchanan advances.
Winner - Dan Buchanan
Post match, Walter grabs Mysterio and lays him out with a Golden Bomb on the outside of the ring! Sandow tends to Buchanan inside the ring and Walter stares him down from the outside. Before he leaves, we hear him say this to Sandow: "Get in my way and you'll be next." Walter leaves via the crowd as Dominik rushes out to tend to his father, and we return to the announce table.
MJ: 'A massive statement once again by Walter, as he helps eliminate Bestia 666 from the tournament. Can anyone stop this massive man Devon?'
RD: 'I know of one man capable of defeating the might of Walter, and that is our lord and saviour. The more heinous actions this man commits, the more he shall be judged when he reaches the pearly gates.'
MJ: 'What about your group? Could they stop him if he turns his attention to you?'
RD: 'The Ministry don't waste their time with those who cannot be saved, we have matters of the lord to attend to. And winning this tournament will allow us to spread our message to the good people.'
MJ: 'Speaking of that, your man is in action next against Malakai Black? Will you be joining him at ringside?'
RD: 'My brother, I take my commentary duties very seriously. Instead, my disciples will accompany Angelico, to ensure that the sinful group known as Firefly Fun House do not attempt to cheat the good people with their evil intent.'
MJ: 'Let's go back to the ring and find out who the third semi finalist will be.'
Match 3
Malakai Black w/Erick Rowan and Bro Dallas vs Angelico w/The Real Good Brothers and Bourne Again
Angelico begin the match with a prayer, whilst Black himself seems deep in thought sitting in the corner. The two eventually lock up and exchange a few quick holds, before Black unleashes some kicks and forces Angelico to regroup outside. After another prayer, Angelico enters once again and the two lock up, with Angelico getting an arm drag and praising the lord for answering his call. Black is having none of that, as he charges and fires off some more kicks, then a leg sweep and shining wizard for a near fall. Black Irish whips Angelico, but he ducks underneath and nails him with a superkick, then a quick double stomp that gets 2. He goes up top, perhaps looking for a double stomp or the Superman Senton, but Black quickly gets up and throws Angelico off and then signal for the Black Mass. The Real Good Brothers both get up on the apron, but Dallas and Rowan quickly rush over and the two begin to brawl. They've forgotten, however, about Bourne Again, who enters whilst the referee is distracted with the outside brawl. He smashes Black over the head with a bottle of holy water. Angelico goes up top and nails the Superman Senton, but the referee is still distracted. It was then that the lights went out. When they come back on, THE FIEND IS IN THE RING! Bourne Again charges, but The Fiend simply throws him over the top rope onto the still brawling wrestlers outside the ring. The Fiend then grabs Angelico and drops him with Sister Abigail, The lights go off and on again and The Fiend is gone, as Black comes to his senses and covers Angelico to get the 3 count.
Winner - Malakai Black
Black has his hand raised by the referee, though he doesn't look like he knew what happened. Regardless, thanks to his association with Bray Wyatt and Firefly Fun House, he was able to come out victorious in a match he could have been screwed out of otherwise.
We return to the announcers table, where Reverend Devon looks furious.
MJ: 'Malakai Black advances, thanks to the help of The Fiend. Devon, you must be frustrated at this turn of events.'
RD: 'This, my brother, is not the work of The Fiend, but of the devil himself. We had followed our lord's instructions to the letter, only for this man consumed with sin to intervene. I'm not angry at my followers, but I am frustrated that their efforts were for naught.'
MJ: 'Are you going to seek vengeance against Firefly Fun House for what happened here tonight?'
RD: 'Vengeance is a sin and not in our nature as followers of the lord. Besides, we will have the last laugh eventually, when those four burn in the fires of Hell for all eternity, whilst we enjoys the pleasure of Heaven.'
MJ: 'And if you cross their path again in the meantime?'
RD: 'We will act based upon the lord's wishes, as we always do.'
MJ: 'Thanks for clarifying. Now let's head back to the ring for our main event.'
Match 4
Darby Allin w/"Broken" Matt Hardy vs Alexander Hammerstone w/Sheamus
These two wrestled in Allin's first match in NWA Stable Wars, and now that Hammerstone is an official member of the roster we get the rematch. The presence of Sheamus, who gave a Brogue Kick to Allin after that match, was a further source of tension. The match began hot, as Allin charged for Hammerstone and the two began throwing punches. This soon spilled to the outside, with Hardy applauding and saying "wonderful" at the spectacle he was witnessing. Allin would miss a charge on the outside, causing him to run into the ringpost and allowing Hammerstone to take control. Hammerstone used that size and weight advantage, throwing Allin about with ease, but simply was not able to keep him down for that 3 count. Allin got a lifeline when he countered a German Suplex attempt into a standing diamond dust, leaving both men down. When they returned to their feet, Allin unleashed a quick flurry of offence, following up several dropkicks with a springboard moonsault for 2, and a top rope dropkick getting a further near fall. Allin went up top, looking for the Coffin Drop, but Hammerstone moved out of the way. Hammerstone followed that up with the Knightmare Pendalum, and that would put Allin away.
Winner - Alexander Hammerstone
Post match, Sheamus once again decied to enter the ring, looking to give Allin another Brogue Kick, but this time Matt Hardy was ready for him. The two start brawling, but Hammerstone quickly intervenes. Before any lasting damage can be done, Brother Nero rushes out and The Bar Room Brawlers rush for higher ground. The House of Hardy pose for the fans as we return to the announce table one final time.
MJ: Alexander Hammerstone advances, but I expect there are plenty more battles ahead for these two groups. Any final thoughts Devon?
RD: 'On this evidence, Brother Hammerstone will be difficult to beat. The lord does say that he could be the winner, but rest assured that The Ministry will obtain justice for its fallen comrade next week.'
MJ: 'Fans, before we go, I can now confirm our semi final matchups. In the first, Alexander Hammerstone will face off with Malakai Black of Firefly Fun House. And in the second, Dan "The Man" Buchanan will do battle with Mustafa Ali. Which of these four men will have the right to challenge the winner of our Heavyweight Title tournament? We will find out in a couple of weeks time. Make sure to join us next time for the Tag Team Title Tournament quarter finals. Until then, take care and have a great week.'
