COMPLEX WRESTLING
PRESENTS
“COMPLEX 1: CLASH FOR THE CROWN” ON FITE TV
07/08/2022
Kezar Stadium in San Francisco, CA
The show begins with a run down by play-by-play announcer Jeff Davis and color commentator ”Hot Stuff” Blake Donovan, as they talk about the big matches happening tonight here in Kezar Stadium. Tonight will feature three matches that will qualify the winners to compete for a title the promotion is calling the X Division championship at the next major event. Blake explains that the X Division title will have much more relaxed rules than a standard COMPLEX Wrestling contest, and will feature some of the most exciting wrestlers in the world today! They then talk about the main event of the evening, which will be to determine the first holder of the Global Combat Crown, the highest prize here in COMPLEX Wrestling. They send things over to Christi Perez, who sat down to interview each of the competitors earlier in the week.
We get a montage of interview footage from each of the former competitors in the main event tonight. ”The Phoenix” Chris Chambers says he is ready to pull out all of the stops tonight, as this is what he has worked so hard for. He said he has come a long way from being the kid getting in hockey fights and doing dare devil stunts for home movies. He says tonight, he makes it all worth it by taking the gold back home with him to Canada! We then get to Komodo, who’s manager Ari Abrams does the talking. Ari says that Komodo is a “Samoan Death Machine” who is ready to cut through any man in front of him, and will punish anyone who stands in his way to the title! Abrams says that he is going to stay in the back tonight and just admire this cold blooded killer as he rips through the competition and puts the entire wrestling world on notice! We then cut to ”The Prophet” Gabriel Moore, who begs the Lord to forgive his opponents tonight for their greed, their envy, and their egos, which need to be killed once and for all. He says that blessings are bestowed upon the humble and righteous, but most importantly, they are given to the chosen, and that is the fate of “The Prophet”. He says these three will be remembered as nothing more than sad parables in the Gospel of Gabriel Moore, as he ascends to glory! Lastly, we hear from Sean “Thunder” Walker, who seems very excited. Sean says he can’t help it, he loves going into battle and this is going to be one of the biggest tests of his career. He says people have tried to push him to be some kind of role model, or some kind of good guy or they’ve tried to say he’s a bad guy or whatever. He says none of that shit matters. It’s all about getting his hands dirty and putting on a show. He says he’s not scared of any man alive, and he knows he can beat any one of these guys, but he knows anything can happen out there. He says there’s a big gold belt just waiting for someone to claim it, but he asks who’s going to be man enough to take it. He says he’s ready to find out, so LET’S FUCKIN’ GO!
With that, we head to ring, where John Chandler is standing in and ready to announce our first competitors of the evening.
MATCH ONE
X DIVISION RULES
One Fall, 15 Minute Time Limit
Alex Ryder vs. Ballistico
Referee: Quentin Butler
Both of these men were babyfaces, but made sure to give the fans here in San Fran a nice, competitive match. Ryder can be very sharp at times, using precision kicks and knees to do damage on Ballistico; but he also showed a wild side when he delivered a Running Shooting Star Press off the apron on the luchador on the outside. Ballistico was a lot more erratic, did a lot of flipping and twirling throughout, trying to keep Ryder off balance. Ballistico to come out the better on a very fast paced and forth exchange, leading him to catch Ryder and lift him onto his shoulders and then bring him down with a wild Psycho Driver to get the pinfall. Ballistico advances to the X Division title match at “COMPLEX 2”.
Winner by Pinfall: Ballistico
(00:06:44)
We go to the announcer’s table, where Jeff Davis informs us that we have some video footage from earlier tonight that took place in lobby. We see camera phone footage of Sean “Thunder” Walker signing an autograph for a fan with a small crowd around him when Komodo and Ari Abrams bursts onto the scene! Komodo attacks Walker and the two are fist fighting as a larger crowd gathers around them! Walker manages to wobble Komodo, leading him to grab a chair and smash “Thunder” in the ribs with it! Komodo then grabs him and lifts him up, slamming him through a merchandise table!
We go back to the announcer’s table, and Davis informs us that he will keep us updated as we look into Sean Walker’s condition and if the match can continue to tonight as planned.
MATCH THREE
X DIVISION RULES
One Fall, 15 Minute Time Limit
“Unbreakable” Adam Cross vs. “The Revelation” Ryan Starr
Referee: Chad Patterson
We have our second X Division qualifier match here, and this one had a little more fire behind it. Ryan Starr is very full of himself and let Cross know before the match that he doesn’t think “Unbreakable” is in his league. Cross would win over the fans by lighting up Starr with a flurry of kicks and open hand slaps to rock “The Revelation”, sending him right out of the ring and leading to Cross delivering a Dropkick through the ropes to smash Starr into the railing! Chad Patterson tries to get these two come back in, but neither man seemed very interested, as they brawled on the outside. Starr would show his athleticism, hitting a HIGH Asai Moonsault off the top rope to wipe out Cross on the floor! Starr rolls Cross back into the ring and hits a Double Springboard Backflip Legdrop, dropping the jaws of those in attendance, but then made a lazy cover for a only two count. Starr argues with Patterson about his count, leading to him getting School Boy’d by Cross and then taking a Buzzsaw Kick to the head for a two count. These two have a very heated exchange of strikes and reversals that leads to Cross getting caught on the middle turnbuckle with a Dropkick to his back, leading Starr to attempt maybe Splash Mountain, but Cross reverses it with a Huracanrana. Cross rolls through and lifts Starr up and delivers the Breaking Point (Gotch-style Nuetralizer), folding “The Revelation” up afterwards for the three count to advance to the title match at “COMPLEX 2”.
Winner by Pinfall: Adam Cross
(00:12:03)
Before the next match, Reese “The Beast” Wolfe came out and cut a promo on the fans here in San Francisco. Reese says they can all shut their cocksuckers! The fans obviously take offense to this. Wolfe says he knows why they all hate him and it’s because he was born better than them, looks better than them and could kick all of their asses! He says he’s not going to apologize to a bunch of liberal, whining little bitches, and he’s going to show them all how a real man handles business when he crushes the “Pitbull” tonight! He says all these little beta males out here can thank him later when their fat, ugly wives and their skinny boyfriends are all suckin’ them off thinkin’ about “The Beast”!
Wolfe drops the mic and he has stirred up this crowd. Blake Donovan expresses a lot of admiration for him.
MATCH THREE
SINGLES RULES
One Fall, 15 Minute Time Limit
Reese “The Beast” Wolfe vs. “The Pitbull” Uriah Bishop
Referee: Todd Fitzgerald
Blake would give us a bit of background here at the beginning of the match, as he pointed out that “The Pitbull” is actually a former wrestling teammate of Sean Walker’s and roomed with him when they went to college at UNLV. Jeff Davis compliments him on his research, and Blake says he’s starting to get the hang of things.
Wolfe is a big, blonde-haired brute of a man, standing at 6’05” and weighing in at 265 lbs. or so. Bishop is no slouch at 6’02”, 240, and also showed a lot of speed and agility in this contest. Wolfe was ruthless in his attack, but Bishop would work the crowd, trying to get them behind him, and would show off his strength, taking “The Beast” down with slams and suplexes to get two counts throughout. “The Pitbull” would attempt a Uranage Suplex at one point, but “The Beast” would break free and grab him by the head, gauging his eyes with his thumbs! No-nonsense Todd Fitzgerald would make Wolfe break immediately and threatened to disqualify him, but the damage was already done. Wolfe would deliver a kick to Bishop and then hit him with the Beast Bomb, leading to a pinfall victory. Jeff Davis says that Wolfe looks like he may be a problem in the future, and Blake agrees that he looks to be a big one.
Winner by Pinfall: Reese Wolfe
(00:10:24)
We go to the announcer’s table for an update on tonight’s main event. Sean Walker has refused to go to the hospital to be checked out, and against doctor’s orders has demanded he be in the main event tonight! The staff doctors have taped up his ribs, and he told Christi Perez in the back that he just got a Hell of a lot more motivated to kick some ass tonight!
MATCH FOUR
SINGLES RULES
One Fall, 15 Minute Time Limit
Jace Maynard vs. “Dark Horse” Nick Reiner
Referee: Mark Lopez
These two men both had a pretty good showing at the first “Combat Stream” as they attempted to qualify for the main event tonight, but both men came up short. Maynard is definitely the more arrogant and brash of the two, but he may be just slightly more technically sound. Reiner is a strong fundamentalist and is as intense a competitor as you will find, to the point of reckless rage, at times. Maynard would relentlessly work over the left leg of “Dark Horse”, attempting multiple times to lock on the Scorpion Deathlock II (Cross Leg Stretch Muffler), but Reiner would manage to escape. Reiner favors a similar move in the Texas Cloverleaf, as well as the Tombstone Piledriver, but he could not utilize either move to get the win tonight. Near the end, Reiner seemed to be looking for a Super Dragon Suplex, but Maynard would elbow his way out and reverse with a Sunset Flip to the mat, rolling that into a deep Half Boston Crab, but the time would expire before we could get a finish. The fans would give both men a nice ovation afterwards for their efforts, but both felt very frustrated with the result.
Time Limit Draw

MATCH FIVE
X DIVISION RULES
One Fall, 15 Minute Time Limit
Nate Fatal vs. “The Iconoclast” Shawn Walsh w/ Angelica Navarro
Referee: Quentin Butler
Shawn Walsh is rude, cocky, and ultimately magnetic, as he splits the crowd in half. Nate Fatal is a very cool customer with a quiet sort of charisma, and the fans seem drawn to him as well. These two have a somewhat similar style, which made for a very fun contest. There wasn’t much in the way of scientific wrestling here, as both of these guys like to take risks and hit hard, as we saw them spill out into the crowd on a couple of occasions throughout. Fatal would deliver a 450 Splash off of the guard rail onto Walsh as he was on the floor at one point to get a big pop. Another breath-taking moment happened as both men were fighting on the apron, trying to gain a favorable position. Angelica Navarro would make her presence felt, grabbing Fatal by the leg. Fatal would shake her off, leading “The Iconoclast” to jump up on his shoulders and take him down off the apron with a Reverse Huracanrana, earning “Holy Shit!” chants in the process! Fatal would recover and later attempt to hit his Fatality (Corkscrew Flying Stunner) on Walsh, only to have “The Iconoclast” avoid it and catch him with a Shining Wizard as he rolled through it. Walsh would then come off the buckles and hit the Sacrilege (Bitter End), and he gets the pinfall! Walsh is the final man in the X Division title match at “COMPLEX 2”!
Winner by Pinfall: Shawn Walsh
(00:11:30)
MATCH SIX
GLOBAL COMBAT CROWN
FOUR WAY RULES
One Fall, No Time Limit
“The Phoenix” Chris Chambers vs. “The Prophet” Gabriel Moore vs. Komodo vs. Sean “Thunder” Walker
Referee: Mark Lopez
Komodo would show a small, sinister grin as Sean Walker limped out to the ring for this match holding his taped ribs. Blake points out that whether they like it or not, Chambers and Moore have to feel a little better about their odds of winning this match as well. This match was a chaotic four way, as you might expect. It had some big moments, like Chambers diving off the top and wiping out his opponents on the floor and Sean Walker showing his fortitude and will to win by suplexing Gabriel Moore from inside of the ring to the outside through the announcer’s table! The story of the match was Walker and his will to fight through the adversity, and Komodo’s killer instinct and skill. Chambers and Moore were both looking for opportunities to try to take this one, with Chambers giving everything he had and risking it all, and Moore trying to be a snake in the grass and steal it by any means. Komodo would use a Spear to send Chambers smashing through the guardrail on the outside to wipe him out of this match, but he also seemed dazed. Walker looked like he might actually win this thing as he battered Gabriel Moore with a Discus Lariat in the ring. Ari Abrams seemed to see that this wasn’t going to bode well for his man, and he ended up running out from the back and got up on the apron. Walker would get distracted and yell at Abrams to get the fuck out of there, and eventually Walker and Mark Lopez would get him to head to the back. Walker would grab the still staggered Moore and lift him onto his shoulders for the Burning Hammer. Komodo, however, had recovered on the outside and would slide in and deliver a Spear as Moore was on his shoulders, sending Moore out under the ropes in the process! Komodo would pin the wounded and exhausted Walker for the three count to get the victory!
Winner by Pinfall, AND NEW GLOBAL COMBAT CROWN CHAMPION: Komodo
(00:23:19)
The fans would boo as Komodo stood on the buckles and held up his title, and Abrams made his way back out to bark about how great he is to the crowd as the show came to an end.
