COMPLEX WRESTLING
PRESENTS
“COMBAT STREAM, EP. 2” ON YouTube
The show opens with play-by-play announcer Jeff Davis and color commentator ”Hot Stuff” Blake Donovan welcoming the fans around the world streaming this event! They put over the main event, as Chris Chambers will be taking on Gabriel Moore in one-on-one action in match that is sure to set either man up for a title shot in the future!
We then get a surprise, as former World Wrestling Champion Steve “Danger” Elliot makes his way out to the ring! What is he doing here!? We see Christi Perez standing in the ring to introduce the veteran and then asked him what he was doing here tonight. Elliot said that General Manager James Kim had the good sense to call the man who wrote the book on professional wrestling to step in and take over the day to day operations and said he would now be serving as the Commissioner of COMPLEX Wrestling. He said “COMPLEX 2” is right over the horizon, and he’s itching to get to booking some great matches, so he told the locker room it is time to step up and stand out! Blake Donovan says that he hasn’t always seen eye to eye with Steve Elliot, but he knows he’s not going to be pushed around and has always tried to give the fans a good show. Jeff Davis says Elliot may be full of himself, but hopefully that means he’ll be striving to make COMPLEX the best it can possibly be! And with that, we head to John Chandler in the ring, who is ready to get these matches underway.
MATCH ONE
“The Dark Horse” Nick Reiner vs. “The Influencer” Johnny Reed w/ Kaylee Rave
Reed is an asinine heel who fancies himself and his girlfriend to be Social Media influencers, though that is clearly a delusion. Nick Reiner is all business and a killer in the ring, and made it clear he wasn’t here to go long. Reed would try to cheat by pulling “The Dark Horse’s” hair and poking him in the eyes but ended up being hit with a Tiger Driver into a Texas Cloverleaf to be submitted.
Winner: Nick Reiner
Nick Reiner would get on the microphone after the match and challenge Jace Maynard to a rematch at “COMPLEX 2”. He tells Steve Elliot to make it happen so he can make this prissy pants little pussy tap out!
We go to a pre-taped interview, where Christi Perez is sitting in with Sean “Thunder” Walker. She asks Walker how he is feeling after everything that took place at “COMPLEX 1”. He says the ribs are healing, but the mental wounds are what’s killing him. He said he dropped the ball at “Clash for the Crown” and let that bastard Komodo and his piece of shit manager Ari Abrams get away with the belt. He said that just can’t stand. He said it doesn’t matter that he attacked him before the match or that Abrams distracted him during the match, none of these bullshit excuses are going to fly! No, he says he should have been ready, he should have known he had a target on his back, and he won’t make that mistake again. He says he knows Ari Abrams is going to do everything in his power to stop Komodo from defending the Global Combat Crown against him, but he is going to fight and claw his way into a match, and there’s nothing they can do to stop him!
MATCH TWO
Ryu Malik vs. Seth Frost
Ryu Malik made his way to the ring in a black hoodie, sunglasses, and with noise canceling headphones on. He would give the fans a double bird on the way out, making a strong, negative impression right out of the gate, but it’s clear he doesn’t give a damn what these fans here in San Fran think of him. Seth Frost would come out with a lot more pageantry, wearing a long dark jacket with big, white fringe coming from the collar, and carried himself with an air of confidence. Frost would hand off the jacket and do a backflip into a kneeling pose, bowing for applause from the audience. Malik was not impressed and put up the double birds right in his face before the bell. Malik is a brutal, rough around the edges striker who has a very long mean streak and showed no mercy. Frost was a lot flashier and clearly more of a showman, using moves like the Vortex (Sling Blade) and a Double Springboard Moonsault to the floor to wow the fans and show off his agility. Frost seems to float at times majestically. Ryu, on the other hand,, comes at his opponent with murderous intent, the fans seem to warm to his rough demeanor as the match goes on. Finally,, Malik would send Frost into the crowd with a Running Boot, and the no nonsense Todd Fitzgerald had seen enough. The official called for a Double Countout, and the fans booed in protest. Blake Donovan let the fans know this wasn’t an X Division rules match and ten counts did apply.
Double Count Out
Malik would get in Fitzgerald’s face after the match and cuss him out, and the fans would back him up with cheers. Jeff Davis says the fans wanted to see them go a lot longer, but things got cut off prematurely. Blake says he hopes Steve Elliot pairs them up again in the future and we get a real result out of it.
We go to a promo for next week, which is promoting a triple tag team X Division extravaganza, as each of the three men slotted to be in the X Division title match at “COMPLEX 2” will be teamed up, with the winner getting to pick a stipulation for the title match! Also, it was advertised that we would hear from new Global Combat Crown champion Komodo!
MATCH THREE
”The Phoenix” Chris Chambers vs. “The Prophet” Gabriel Moore
Chris Chambers was fired up and had a lot of juice coming out here tonight. He would run around the ring slapping hands and then did a front flip over the ropes into the ring. The crowd was eating up the Canadian’s energy, as Jeff Davis points out he has been one of the most exciting competitors consistently since COMPLEX opened its doors. The mood would change quickly as darkness fell upon the arena and the hated Gabriel Moore made his way to the ring. Moore would carry a small vile of Holy Water with him and flung the liquid at the fans near the rails with a look of disgusted contempt on his face. Moore gets on the mic and says he can tell he is in the presence of the unclean, with this crowd being full of some of the worst sinners he has ever laid eyes on, and advised them all to leave right away and repent, because this crowd will surely burn in Hell for all eternity! Chambers had heard enough and started unloading left hands on “The Prophet” that sent him out of the ring, much to the excitement of the crowd! Moore would milk it on the outside, forcing referee Mark Lopez to threaten him with a count out, leading “The Prophet” back into the ring. Moore and Chambers would trade holds for a minute or so before Chambers reversed a whip into the corner with a backflip right into a Chaos Theory suplex, bridging and getting a two count. Moore would pull a small vile of purplish liquid yelling “HIS BLOOD SHED FOR YOU!” and splashing it into Chambers’ eyes! Moore would try for a quick School Boy, holding the tights as he does so, but Mark Lopez would catch him and break up the pin attempt. “The Prophet” was enraged, grabbing Lopez by the collar and condemning him to Hell for his slight against God! Chambers would grab Moore and kick him low, maybe a little too low, but nobody cared. He would then deliver the Phoenix Wings, planting Moore on his head and taking him down for the three count!
Winner: Chris Chambers
Moore would leave in shame as Chris Chambers grabbed the microphone. “The Phoenix” said he has unfinished business with Komodo! He says Komodo did everything he could to cheat to get that belt, and maybe Sean “Thunder” Walker is laid up and can’t do anything about it, but that’s fine, because he wants to finish kicking some Samoan ass himself! He says he doesn’t care what it takes, Komodo is going to get burned by “The Phoenix” at “COMPLEX 2” and that title belongs to Chris Chambers! The fans seem to support this, and Jeff Davis reminds us we will hear from Komodo next week to see what he has to say about it!
