Larry Nelson, sitting in front of the SuperClash III backdrop, welcomes everyone to AWA Championship Wrestling on ESPN and promises a great championship match for this week’s main event as the Rock ‘n’ Roll RPMs challenge Badd Company for the AWA Tag Team Championships… but first to the ring!
Brad Armstrong defeats Todd Morton in 4:17 with a superplex. Following the match, Armstrong makes motions of a championship belt around his waist and calls out AWA World Light Heavyweight Champion Buck Zumhofe to the ringside camera.
Nelson, now standing in front of the SuperClash III backdrop, welcomes Paul Ellering to the program. Ellering introduces himself as “the personal manager of the greatest tag team in the World today… the Road Warriors”. Ellering announces that Road Warrior Hawk and Road Warrior Animal are “finishing up commitments in other parts of the world” but would be back in the AWA next week and ready to get to “back to where they left off… as Champions” as Ellering smacks a rolled up paper into his palm and walks away. Nelson announces that he is at a “loss for words”.
Wendi Richter defeats Candi Divine in 3:45 with a cross body block.
Jerry Lawler defeats Steve Cox in 3:32 with a diving fist.
Lee Marshall, sitting in front of the SuperClash III backdrop, welcomes everyone to the SuperClash III Update and announces that a second unification match has now been signed for SuperClash III. New WCWA World Light Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett has signed the dotted line to face AWA World Light Heavyweight Champion Buck Zumhofe in a unification match. However, Zumhofe has just signed his name to a contract to defend the AWA World Light Heavyweight Championship against Brad Armstrong next week on AWA Championship Wrestling.
Marshall then ran down the rest of the card, mentioning Miceli vs. Richter for the AWA World Ladies Championship, Badd Company defending the AWA World Tag Team Championships against a pair of former champions, the Samoans defending the WCWA Tag Team Championships, Greg Gagne defending the AWA International Television Championship and of course… AWA World Heavyweight Champion Jerry “the King” Lawler battling WCWA World Heavyweight Champion “the Modern Day Warrior” Kerry Von Erich to crown one World Heavyweight Champion… and plenty more surprises! Marshall finishes by reminding everyone to come to the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, Illinois on November 20th or to contact their local cable provider to order the event on pay-per-view.
Badd Company defeats the Rock ‘n’ Roll RPMs in 6:51 with a catapult superkick.
