WWF Superstars of Wrestling
October 22, 1988
From Fort Wayne, Indiana @ Allen County War Memorial Coliseum
Vince McMahon & Jesse The Body Ventura welcome viewers to the show, running down what is on tap for today ...
- World Tag Team champions, Ax & Smash, Demolition
- Bret The Hitman Hart & Jim The Anvil Neidhart, The Hart Foundation
- Jumpin' Jim Brunzell
- The Brother Love Show with Macho Man Randy Savage
- Greg The Hammer Valentine
- The return of Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff
- In the feature match, Koko B. Ware takes on the Big Bossman
Jesse Ventura: "I'll tell you what, McMahon, I can't wait for the Bossman to get in there and arrest Koko!"
Vince McMahon: "Arrest Koko?!? What for, Jesse?"
Jesse Ventura: "For the crime of impersonating a wrestler, HA!"
Vince McMahon: "Real funny, Jesse. Let's go to the ring for some action."
----- ----- ----- ----- -----
1. The Hart Foundation defeat Tom Duncan & Mac Jordan @ 2:42 when Bret Hart pinned Duncan after the Hart Attack. The Harts have their sights set on a rematch for the Tag Team Title after falling short to Demolition at Summer Slam when they were assisted by their own former manager, Jimmy Hart. Should a rematch happen, they are likely hoping they can do it without Hart in Demolition's corner.

From the pages of the World Wrestling Federation magazine, here's Update ...
Gorilla Monsoon is in studio to talk about last week's announcement on the Brother Love show from Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase of a $1,000,000 oincentive to anybody that can get the WWF Title off of Macho Man Randy Savage, showing footage. Monsoon then says that two men have arrived, looking to do just that ...
Steve Williams: "For those of you that don't know, I'm Doctor Death Steve Williams and this here is Terry Bam Bam Gordy. Together, we are the most devastating tag team in wrestling. But if there's one thing we like more than beating people up, it's money, haha."
Terry Gordy: "Ya got that right! We heard Ted DiBiase's offer and thought, we wanna make that million dollars, boy. So that's why we're here, so Macho Man - let's find out just how Macho you really are. Thanks to Ted DiBiase, we got a million reasons why we're gonna do that!"
----- ----- ----- ----- -----
2. Greg The Hammer Valentine (w/ Jimmy Hart) defeats Larry Grant @ 1:53 via submission to the Figure Four Leglock. Much of the match is spent talking about Hart's other charge, The Honky Tonk Man, in his pursuit to get back the Intercontinental Title from The Ultimate Warrior. Ventura suggests that if Honky can't do it that maybe The Hammer can. McMahon does not disagree as Valentine is a former IC champion himself.
----- ----- ----- ----- -----
3. The Big Bossman (w/ Slick) defeats Koko B. Ware @ 3:04 via pinfall after the Bossman Slam. Slick does some dancing in the ring, prompting Koko to counter by flapping his arms like wings. It is all just distraction as Bossman hits Koko from behind. He uses his power advantage to wear Koko down, although Koko does manage to mount a counter offensive. A missile dropkick off the top rope is enough to get Koko a 2 count but an attempt at the Ghostbuster fails when Bossman pushes him off and hits a clothesline. As he gets up, Bossman kicks Koko in the head. He then brings him up and sends him to the ropes for the Bossman Slam and the 3 count. Bossman wins and after the match adds insult to injury when he handcuffs Koko to the ropes and drops his ball and chain on Koko's midsection. Some hard times follow from the nightstick with McMahon pleading over commentary to stop. Ventura on the other hand laughs and eats it up, suggesting Frankie be next (Ware's pet parrot).

Event Center with Sean Mooney
An excited Mooney tells the viewers that there is always something going on in the World Wrestling Federation, including Hacksaw Jim Duggan as readies himself for a collision with Canadian Strongman Dino Bravo. He is standing by with comments ...
Hacksaw Jim Duggan: "HOOOOOOOOOO! Dino Bravo! You wanna walk around waving that flag, thinking it makes you a tough guy? I don't think so! What makes me a tough guy is the stars and stripes of the good ol' U.S. of A. And when we get in the ring, Hacksaw Duggan'll cut you down to size - HOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Also, Ravishing Rick Rude has been having problems of late with Jake The Snake Roberts, centering around Jake's wife Cheryl. Let's hear from the Ravishing one and hear what he has to say ...
Ravishing Rick Rude: "Jake The Snake Roberts. Let's face it. Your wife Cheryl is begging for a real man like me. You don't have half the body I do, and that's really what matters. So you bring your little snake there, Damian, and when I'm finished this time, maybe I won't just show Cheryl a good time, but Damian too! A good time at the snake cemetery!"
----- ----- ----- ----- -----
4. Jumpin' Jim Brunzell defeats Billy Wilson @ 2:18 via pinfall after a dropkick. Not much to this match with Brunzell not getting any sort of crazy push here so they use this as a chance to talk about the pending debut of The Rock N Roll Express here in the WWF. McMahon says that he knows how to get down, although Ventura just laughs at him, saying that 'Stand Back' might be the worst song he's ever heard!
----- ----- ----- ----- -----
The Brother Love Show
This week, Brother Love welcomes his guest, World Wrestling Federation champion Macho Man Randy Savage and the lovely Elizabeth. Brother Love welcomes Brother Savage and Sister Elizabeth as talk quickly turns to last week's appearance of Brother Million Dollar Man saying that he will pay a million dollars to anybody that can take that Heavyweight Title from him. Savage is unusually low key to start, saying that if DiBiase wanted the title that badly, all he had to do was come get it, but he can't so now he's gone out to get some hired goons to do the job for him. Love notes that Brother Williams and Brother Gordy have arrived and they will do whatever it takes! Savage answers back that it just might be time then for him to call a friend because if there's one person that can handle the Madness, it's the power of Hulkamania - OHHHHHH YEAH!
----- ----- ----- ----- -----
5. Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff defeats Dennis Domino @ 1:57 via pinfall after the piledriver. This was Orndorff's return match with the commentators focusing on what great shape that Orndorff is in. McMahon isn't sure that there's anybody in the WWF today that can handle Mr. Wonderful, but Ventura says that he has heard rumors from across the pond of somebody that just might be able and then some. McMahon wants to know who it is but Ventura just laughs and says that will come in due time and is on a need to know basis and McMahon needs to know nothing!

The Survivor Series Report with Gorilla Monsoon
No matches to announce yet as Monsoon pushes the date for the second annual Survivor Series as November 24 from the Richfield Coliseum in Richfield, Ohio. The concept will be matches with teams of four as they strive to survive. He urges fans to call their local cable companies and demand that they get to see the Survivor Series, only on pay-per-view from the World Wrestling Federation!
----- ----- ----- ----- -----
6. Tag Team champions Demolition(w/ Mr. Fuji) defeat Jerry Keaton & Jason Thompson in a non-title match @ 2:25 when Ax pinned Keaton after the Demolition Decapitation. A lot of tag teams are looking to get a shot at Demolition between The Hart Foundation looking for a rematch and Strike Force back together again. Ventura tells McMahon that the teams can look but once they find it, are they really going to want a piece of Demolition? HA! He doesn't think so.

The Event Center with Sean Mooney
Mooney welcomes viewers back to The Event Center, telling fans that for strutting and cutting, there is nobody quite so crafty as Brutus The Barber Beefcake. He is standing by ...
Brutus The Barber Beefcake: "Ron Bass - the Outlaw. You think I've forgotten about what you did to me, costing me my chance at becoming Intercontinental champion? Not yet. I won't forget, not until I have you in the ring so that I can give you a little trim. And maybe, just maybe, I won't stop until there's nothing left!"
Tag team wrestling has never been hotter in the World Wrestling Federation than it is right now. One team that looks to get to the top is none other than Beau and Blake, The Beverly Brothers, and their manager the Doctor of Style Slick. Let's hear what they have to say ...
Slick: "Oh, look at what we have here, brutha! My brand new tag team of Beau and Blake, The Beverly Brothers! And you'd best believe that all them other tag teams, whether it be those nasty Killer Bees or that Hart Foundation, daddy - they're on shaky ground when the team from Shaker Heights gets them in the ring."
----- ----- ----- ----- -----
The voice of Lord Alfred Hayes: "Promotional consideration paid for by the following."
- Transformers! Defeat the Decepticons with new Power Masters! Transformers - More than Meets the eye!
- Go swimming in your pajamas? It's the all new Dare! board game. Do you accept? I dare you! Dare! from Parker Brothers.
- Super Mario is back! New opponents, new worlds, Mario is bigger and badder than ever in Super Mario Brothers 2: Mario Madness! Only from Nintendo! Now you're playing with power!
